Beauty and serenity surround the residents of King Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A dream of a loving place to care for the elderly of the Town of Houghton Lake became a reality as the King family orchestrated local tradesmen, artisans and contractors. Each person came forth with determination and solidarity. Bringing together creative ideas and hard work, they created a community for which they would all be proud. This dream lives on in our staff members at King, and this community has flourished in a quality culture.

King Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is in a convenient and quiet setting overlooking Houghton Lake. The area is a destination for outdoor enthusiasts, but it is also rich in arts, culture and theatre. Activities and events within our community and around the town are scheduled based on our residents’ interests and hobbies.

King is a 61-bed community with a beautiful patio and courtyard for our residents and guests to enjoy. A beauty salon and barber shop are also located in our building, and complimentary personal laundry service is available.

King is a dually certified skilled nursing community with talented staff members who honor and respect each resident we serve while providing thoughtful and exceptional healthcare services in a safe, clean, and friendly environment. The in-house physical, speech, occupational therapists treat both short-term intensive and long-term extensive care residents. Each day, our therapists help our residents to stand tall and enjoy life again.
