How to Pay for a Skilled Nursing Community Stay
There are several options available for covering the costs associated with a short-term or extended stay at the community. The following definitions provide a brief overview of each of the options. Our staff members are more than willing to meet individually to discuss your specific situation in a confidential meeting.
Medicare eligibility is enhanced by our pre-admission screening process. Professional and knowledgeable staff is available to provide you with current information about Medicare. This includes all the benefits to which you are entitled during your Skilled Medicare stay with us.
Medicaid and Medicaid pending residents are always considered for admission. Community staff is available to assist you in the Medicaid application process if such services are required. Please inquire whether the facility you are interested in is a participating Medicaid provider.
Private insurance coverage will be pursued when necessary and appropriate. Qualified staff members provide assistance in completing insurance forms.
All Atrium Centers welcome Veterans to be a resident under the Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance or privately paying for their stay. Several of our centers have a specific Veterans Contract allowing for payment by the Veterans Administration.
Assisted living waiver program
Each State has its own specific guidelines regarding assistance for those who cannot stay in their own home and are not in need of the 24-hour care provided by a skilled nursing center. Several of our Atrium Centers offer Assisted Living accommodations that participate in the Medicaid Waiver program. Services and benefits vary by State – please contact one of the following centers for additional information.
